yeah, I know its slow I just don't want to partition any of my HD's and loose space for something I wouldn't use that often anyway.

You could have 1 HDD for Vista and 1 for Ubuntu. Than you'd be covered for both of them, personally, if I were to upgrade my computer, I'd probably just get something like 500 GBs, maybe 2 of them, than 1/2 one of them and have Ubuntu and XP, than with the other one, just keep all my media and what not on there.

Bamhm that sounds a good idea, 1 smaller HDD for Vista and Ubuntu and a big one for the media. And split in 50/50 then use that acronis (whatever its called) because that can change partition sizes without loosing data, if need be.
