Default SUPER (All your video problems are solved.)

SUPER Copyright eRightSoft
www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html

SUPER is a great video conversion program. It comes with awesome features and many options to convert even the most annoying video formats/combinations. (Believe me, it can convert an mkv from KAA just fine...) Basically, SUPER is a GUI that pulls together many back-end (command line, essentially) programs such as Mencoder and ffdshow so that (almost) normal, everyday people can use them.

Just download it from the website. (Look around near the bottom, the link is hard to find.) Best of all, it's free! For those of you who have 56k modems or dial-up, the file is 25.6 MB. :P Prepare for at least a 10 minute wait for even those with broadband.

A computer with SUPER installed on it still needs the correct codecs installed on it. A codec is a package that assists a computer in decoding a certain video file format correctly. The Combined Community Codec Pack should contain all you need. Download it at http://www.cccp-project.net/

You also might need DVDDecrypter if you want to BACK-UP LEGITIMATELY OBTAINED DVD's. Download at http://www.mrbass.org/dvdrip/

 Is there anything you did differently? Maybe you checked DirectShow. That makes any encoded video file specific to the computer that it was converted on.

Shouldn't this be in the media section?

Isn't that section just for PSP related media?

Yeah, SUPER encodes all sorts of video. It can be used as a PSP Video 9 replacement, but it is mainly for playback of video on computers.

Wow awesome!

Well, I originally downloaded SUPER to convert MKV to AVI for computer playback, but it didn't work. The aspect ratio was off and I couldn't seem to change it and the encoding quality of the original file wasn't able to hold up to all those conversions.

MKV has me beat, and I hate it.

Interesting link.
