Default h264 video codec. Gr.

I have an mkv anime file that uses the h264 codec (.264 extension for raw files) and I have trouble converting it to something with an avi container.

Does anyone know if there is a way to convert a raw 264 video stream to maybe a divx video? VirtualdubMod won't open it and avc2avi converts it, but with missing information and the wrong aspect ratio.

...hmm... I hate mkv.

I don't know how to convert it, but I found the codec via google.

http://www.free-codecs.com/x264_Vide...c_download.htm

Download that and it'll run through Windows Media Player.

i've always said that SUPER is the best converter, but still some doubt it, i haven't come yet, to a format that it does not convert.....

even the movies from FFX that are .2mv or somethin like that it converts.....

Thanks bamhm. I've got the codec, so my computer can play it back. I'm just really annoying when it comes to file formats. I like to have all my anime in 1 format. :P

x264! ffdshow! Thanks lightt. I'll check it out. I hope it works.

EDIT: Wow, that download link is hard to find. (GAH! 25 MB?!?)

Lightt...

It's... it's... ORG[yaaaaaaay!!]C!!!
It's like the person who wrote this program knows what he's doing and also hates MKV too!

There are so many nice options!

Thanks. I'm re-encoding it right now. I hope its' good!

Sure.

I tried it out. (The video encoded with no problem! It's great.)

Beware. I had to leave it on overnight. Though it probably only took about 3-4 hours to re-encode.
