Lucky *******, I've got a 32 MB video card I think. I might be getting a new computer in July, but I'm torn between getting a new computer, or getting some games and what not for my birthday.

Better than mine...

I think I'm going to get like 1 maybe 2 games, 3 rechargeable batteries. Some XBL Points, 1 year of XBL. Than ask for money for the rest, that way, I can start saving for my computer, I probably won't start out with much because that's around $300 already.

Well it arrived this morning and when I took it out of the box I couldn't help but notice the size. Its huge

Thats it on its own, its hard to tell in this photo but its about 1.5 inches thick.

Thats it sitting next to my old graphics card, a 6600GT 128Mb. You can see the size difference better here.

Thats it installed in my machine and from this angle you can see how thick it is. It is a good 2 to 2.5 inches longer than my old one. Tis a big boy.

To give you an idea of how powerfull it is I fired up Oblivion, put every setting to max at 1280x1024 resolution and the framerate didn't even stutter from 60 FPS which is what it is capped at. If I knew how to take that FPS cap off I would just to see how high the FPS will go.

B.e.a.utiful! Man, that's a nice card. Is it loud though? I'd be willing to bet that that fan is pretty fu**in loud.

Actually its almost silent. Its not a normal fan with the standard blades... its hard to explain. I took this picture with my phone, you can see the fan better in it.

You can see it doesn't have a number of big blades but rather round its like a circle with small blades round the edges.

Also the heat shield reminds me of Transformers.. :P

That's exactly what I was thinking, lol. I couldn't think of the name, but I was like, "that metal cover looks like those robots on tv in the morning"

Also, it looks like it's a PCI board, I thought that cards that nice would pretty much HAVE TO be PCI Express x16? I guess it could be x16, they look a lot alike.
