Default Need a laptop. Recommendations please

Basically need a new PC/laptop but I feel that a laptop is best suited for me.
Need one that has a decent memory, fast lol.
Go on many programms, internet etc. Nothing too fancy like you Kev and HR with all your linux stuff.

Price range is anything from £0-£300. Will break that range if need be but definitely nothing over £500.

As you can probably tell I am clueless when it comes to computers so yeah your help will be much appreciated.

Ewww that thing is ugly...I would be ashamed to pull that laptop out in class...

And High Roller, that price on the computer would drop a fairly good amount if you drop the Solid State Drive in favor of a traditional hard drive. I would alsp step up the RAM to 2GB. He wants to multitask.

None taken, as I would still like mine over yours, 120GB is suffice for me with a laptop.
