Default Anti Virus

Had lots of trouble with viruses recently... but yesterday was the final straw... had a malicious ware called Ms Anti virus move in... what a mare.... any road up got really miffed at Norton as it just slows everyting down and lets god knows what infect my pc's... so went on a hunt for something better... after a few hours researching I came up with AVG internet security 8.0 package 3... downloaded it in 7 mins... installed in 5 mins... and is quick and silent.... has lots of cool features and now I have a licence until September 2010...updates it's knowledge of known nasties every four hours and has every form of tweakable spam filter one cold possible imagine.... am well chuffed... I use this as my primary defence... actually that is a lie... my provider has a firewal and anti virus (of sorts) then AVG and then I have Malwarebytes and RegCure as belt and braces.... if one don't get it the others will... or all of them will take lumps outta the nasties enough to kill it (fingers crossed).

Just thought I would let you guys know about this.... I suspect I was the last person alive who actually used Nortons anyway... just me being loyal to what once was the best out there many years ago.

Nortan is done and dead my friend. AVG is a great antivirus. I use it on my XP and it works great! Haven't had a problem yet.

I have Kaspersky Internet Security 2007. Last time I checked it was the best rated antivirus and web security software available. If you are short on cash, pm me, I'll find you a good deal on it.

What beserk said... I've tried a few virus software progz and kaspersky really stands out
You can have as little (unobtrusive) protection, or as much (fort knox) as you so desire

AVG is ok for a free solution, but not worth paying for
