Default Buying A HDTV

Ok I've looked through newegg.com and I've come to the conclusion that I think this is the best 1080p TV I can buy considering the bang for buck theory.

Here

Yes I know its 37" and you're going to say "You should get a 720p TV, you wont notice the difference!", but alas, I'm dead set in getting a 1080p TV. So don't waste your time.

Now there is this other TV made by, that is made by Sharp, that I'm looking at too. It has better contrast ratio but its smaller. 32" to be precise. Do you think I should opt for the bigger TV, or better contrast ratio? (1300:1 -JVC) (2000:1 - Sharp)

Here

What do you guys think I should go for? And post your opinions on the brand names too. I know Sharp is better than JVC, but are they by such a margin that I should opt for Sharp because of it?

I have not really heard abything about JVC TV's, so I would have to go with the Sharp. Also, I'm guessing you didn't notice the Dynamic contrast ratio of 10,000 to 1. That is a really big step up from the JVC.

Personally, I prefer Samsung TVs. They have great tech specs and everyone that I know that has one, loves it. Here are two that I would recommend.

Newegg.com - SAMSUNG 32" 1080p LCD HDTV - LN32A550

Newegg.com - SAMSUNG 40" 1080p LCD HDTV - LNT4061F

SHARP. 32" should be fine, since im assuming youll be using it yourself. but i agree with berserk, if you can, go with samsung. but ive heard nothing but good stuff about sharp sony and samsung.

if it makes you feel better, i heard that sharp isnt using harmful materials in their tvs

Sharp, sure, but I haven't heard anything good about Panasonic.
