we upgraded!! for the same price we payed with bell.. around 42 dollars we get like 10x the speed!!!

Even u have a better speed than me MB...

The last time i looked i was getting bout 2 mb/s

Could it be that we had another computer on that was connected vis wireless?

You have to pay attention to detail. You are most likely downloading at 1 MB/s, not at 1 mbps. MB/s is MegaBytes per second, mbps is Megabits per second. there are 8 bits in a byte. 9 mbps is a little more than 1 MB/s.

Your speed is really good. It is about 3 times faster than my DSL connection. If you did not get it yet, let me try to explain for clearly. There is a difference between mbps and MB/s. MB/s stands for MegaByte per second, while mbps stands for MegaBit per second. There are 8 MegaBits in a MegaByte. While your speedtest shows your speed in MegaBits, when you download something your speed shows in MegaBytes, meaning that it is an equivalent to 8 times the amount in MegaBits.
