Is it possible to run Windows XP applications and games on Windows Vista?

Probably would be the same for me. Vista or XP and thinking of upgrading to vista.

Personally if you are thinking of upgrading to vista from XP i would avoid it. IMO XP is better Vista just has better looks.

There are some Windows XP apps that do not run well on Vista. Can't think of any off the top of my head, but I remember that there are.

I'm running XP home edition (service pack 2), but I'm gonna buy a new laptop over the summer that does have vista, and I want to see if I have to buy all my games and programs again.

You should stick with XP. Vista sucks, plus Mircosoft is dumping Vista and releasing Windows 7 next year....tipical of Microsoft...

Re releasing an entire copy of windows built from the ground up.... i hope microsoft is taking notes, im ready to ban microsoft from my comp

It wont happen, ever, MS are in deep **** cos they dont have the resource to redesign things to be less demanding and smooth. They would never abandon a project 25 years in devolpment, especially when they rule things

Only program I can think of that doesn't work as well as it does in XP when it's run in Vista is Spybot(a free spyware removal program) You have to run spybot as an admin. Some programs need you to do that or they won't work, but Spybot's the only one I can think of ATM.
