Default Toshiba drops HD-DVD

Finally they admit defeat, after the pumbling they took from the Bluray camp Toshiba made the right decision and is canceling HD-DVD. I for one am happy as this means I will get Transformers on Bluray sooner than later! Oh and the goodness for the customer...blah blah blah...Transformers!

I always knew Bluray would win, and it's you're right it is Blu-ray.

Samestory98, do you really think AMD is going to fail too? Only one major processor company in the entire business? ATI can go to hell, but AMD? Not that it affects me, I'm getting that quad core Intel.

AMD wont fail, they are too big now. If anything, Intel have lost alot of its market share to what they used to have.

What you have to remember is HD-DVD is basically an extension of a DVD. So in basic terms, its simply a disk design that failed.

When we say AMD will fail, we are talking about a whole line of cpu's here. Ok, they might make a cpu that no one buys, but the entire company will not flop.

As for HD-DVD failing, lol, i so dont care, i dont even have a hdtv hehehehe.

Those holographic disks will take over blu-ray later on though MWAHAHAHA

By that time, digital distribution will be dominant.
