Default New router issues

i just set up a new linksys wireless router..its the wireless-g model WAP54G

its being recognized when the laptop searches for availible netowrks and it can connect, but if it can its with limited connectivity or just wont connect at all. the signal strength isnt it, because i have the laptops right next to the router and they still arent working properly.

i have the router plugged into another router right uner my desk, and thats where all of the upstairs connections are stemming from. could i have too many plugged into the router box or something?

I don't think that the two should have compatability issues, unless you didn't put the correct settings in. Make sure that your new router is set to connect directly to the internet, or the network.

Is the PSP compatible with g-routers, I thought I read somewhere they weren't, they were only compatible with b-routers or something like that. I don't know, that might not even make any sense, I don't know a lot about routers, the guy from Quest set mine up.
