*Make Sure to Read Below* CASE Thermaltake Armor+ (Full Case) CPU Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 (2.4) RAM OCZ Reaper HPC Edition 4GB DDR2800 POWER Thermaltake Toughpower 850W CD/DVD DRIVES SAMSUNG 20X DVD±R DVD Burner (x2) HARD DRIVE Western Digital Raptor 150GB 10,000 RPM 16MB Cache VIDEO CARD EVGAGeforce 8800GTS (G92) Motherboard EVGA nForce 780i SOUND CARD AuzenTech Auzen X-Fi Prelude EXTRAS Logitech Z-5500 505 Watts 5.1 Speaker i-rocks 12-in-1 USB 2.0 Card Reader w/ 3-Port USB 2.0 Hub Remember, most of these WILL change by the time i build it. The 780i motherboard will probably not be in it, as the 790i one is coming out soon. Speaking of motherboards, i could use some help. I can't really decide what the best chipset is, Nvidia's or Intel's. Help would be appreciated. If the 9800s don't jack the price up too much, I might go with one of those instead of what I have now. The CPU will probably change also, as I have heard that Intel's releasing more Extremes with Quad cores. I also heard that they will be working their way down from their flagship QX9850 (45nm), which will hopefully result in them being not so high in price. Somebody explain what modular cable support is? I dont really have that clear of an idea.

But putting it together is the fun part. You'll know that your sweat and blood went into that thing, makes it more precious to you.
jk, sorta, I do always manage to cut my hand on something on every computer I've put together though. That sounds like an AWESOME computer, what did you need our help with? |

Aren't the Core2 Extreme quad core?
Also, 9800=lots of $$$$$$$$$$, but it might be worth it if you want to "future proof" it. Should be tops for about 5-7 years. Maybe longer. |

at the moment, these seem like the best ones:
Newegg.com - Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD5000KSRTL 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - Retail Newegg.com - Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 ST3500320AS 500GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM Newegg.com - Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD5000AAKS 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM if i were to build one right now, i'd probably go with the seagate.
