One other thing is when I've looked at a topic, it still shows some up as unread on the main page

Vbulletin uses caching which is one reason why it runs faster than phpbb. It will eventually show as unread though. If in the meantime you want to mark a forum as 'Read' yourself, just double-click the 'new posts' icon.

Yes it does, and it marks as unread everytime you start a new thread.

ok, I can see the issue... I think this might actually be a glitch with vbulletin. I will have a look around to see if it can be fixed. Thanks for pointing it out!

should be fixed now, but most forums will appear unread to begin with.

ok for me, the double-clicking on the logo's does work and is very handy, just do that and it's fine

I've switched them back for the default style. I may make some other styles available... for instance this one (press refresh)
