Wanna bet?

The worst bots are those that make posts in already created threads. I dont mind the ones that creates new threads in the same section because i can mass delete them.

Its the ones that scatter them all over the forum that are a pain.

is that because the general gaming section is the most visited????

Kev is correct in saying that new bot threads are so much easier to spot and kill off.... You all can help by not posting after a BOT has posted...

Most likely.

About the posts after bots, this really dosent bother me, because i will simply delete the whole thread, this means you posts go aswell im afraid.

If this be the correct thing to do or not, its the easiest. :?

I have noticed that one post bots are coming along more now and with hundreds of different IP addresses, kinda making bans pointless.

Once i have finished work (for good) i will look into it more, as i will have plenty of spare time on my hands before college. If anyone else who lays about the house for weeks on end could look into it and PM me some helpful links that would be appreciated.

OHOHOH! I lay around the house doing absolutely nothing for weeks on end! PICK ME PICK ME!!

Also, what are you going to look into? It wasn't very clear? What it sound to me like you wanted was to know how to mass block I.P.s or something...

The ip banning was something I was doing but seemed to make no difference so now I have taken to DELETING the bot from the members list.... totally kill the bugger off.... not sure that that is doing any good either though as more keep coming

Hey!!! the mods and Admins do a great job (well I would say that would I not  )... it seems the owner of the site is somewhat busy elsewhere to actually visit the site and set-up a few changes... his/her initial enthusiasm seems to have died a death.
