To upgrade your pc you really want to work out what you want it to do for you.... do you want a games machine, an internet surfer, a homework helper, a business machine or an all rounder???

Depending on what you want and how much you have to spend will guide people into advising you on your options.

Normally a games machine is the most expensive option if your after cutting edge graphics etc. For these you need fast ram and a fast cpu and obviously a decent graphics card... all of these are no good unless you have a decent monitor to show you the quality of the components.

As Kev suggested post the full specifics of your machine now....
CPU
Memory (amount and type)
Hard drive (capacity and speed)
Mother board spec
Powersupply (max watts output)

Once armed with this information I am sure one of the techheads here will be able to advise you on your best option.
