Default How can I do this? lol

Tomorrow, my grandpa's going to give me all of the computer parts that are in the other thread, and he was wanting to put the computer together with me. Only thing is, I have NO idea where my original XP disk is.... I know where my BACKUP of my XP disk is, but not the official one, I think my dad may have let someone borrow it. Anywho, my grandpa has high morals and probably wouldn't approve of installing Windows XP off a burnt CD... As I was typing this, I just remembered I could install Ubuntu or some other version of Linux.

So that just narrows it down to one more problem, he got 2 graphics cards, somehow he found a place to get the original Graphics Card and the new one from the other thread. He got them both and was wanting to compare them... I was just wondering if anyone knows how I could compare the graphics without buying a game? Because quite frankly, I know I won't be able to run to the store tomorrow and get a cutting edge game for the PC, and like I said, he's got high moral fibers, so that leaves out the other option of testing a game, than right afterwards uninstalling it...

Is there any program that will show you what kind of graphics your PC is capable of? I'm sure there won't be any difference and I'll just pick the 2nd one because it looks cooler and is quieter, but my Grandpa will want to test them both...

EDIT: Well I got Ubuntu up on my PC, and it's AWESOME, but I'm going to dual boot it with XP on my next computer just incase something goes wrong w/ Ubuntu and I need to use XP...

Also, for some reason, I kinda thought that you could use .exes in linux, don't ask why. :P Is there any way to use them? I like gaim or w/e it is, but I'd like to use MSN messenger more...
