thinking about it, you're probably not in the minority, most serious gamers will probably not buy a Wii, and opt for a ps3 or 360, just for the better graphics and performance, personally, I don't give that much thought into the graphics of a game as they're not all that important, the gfx of twilight princess are good enough as any for me, I love the water effects of it.
I've never been into the serious games that much, I've always thought gaming to be a fun thing to do between mates, theres no point in a game unless its got multiplayer IMO,all i did on super mario bros 3 on the nes was play the multiplayer game with my brother, the first thing I did with my wii was take it to a friends house, I get bored of single player games too quickly. thats why I want fun games that will keep me entertained and this new concept of controlling is something I really like.
Each to their own I suppose, the Wii is just selling well because it appeals to a much wider audience, no longer do you need to know a whole array of button combinations and controls, just swing, its so simple, and the simplest ideas are usually the best.
This is a console I reckon I could get my Mum and Dad to have a go on, they wouldnt have a clue with any PS controller.
