It seems it is little more than a security update. No surprise there then. A few changes to make using 4gb sticks easier seem to be the only other addition.

Quote:
With 2.81, the following bugs will be fixed.

On the new version, mostly security fixes and also 4GB or more MSDP usage bugs has been modified.

On the older version, while using 4GB MSPD, due to some software problems, new files weren't created. From this release to following problems has been fixed as well.

+ On PSP, it couldn't create a new file, or overwrite, at 4GB or bigger allocations. The file would be corrupted. (Fix for 4GB MSPD)

+ After placing a DRMed ATRAC file onto the MSPD, placing into the PSP will corrupt the DRM data, and cannot be played.

+ Formating the MSPD on PSP/MS Formatter, and placing that into PSP, hook it up to the PC via USB cable, it couldn't recognize as formatted media.

+ PSP cannot read allocation which is larger than 4GB.
I'm sure this list isn't complete and a few other things are in there. If anyone finds any other changes, post them on here.
