1up.com has a show (video podcast) from 4/14/06 where they interview Tsutomu Kouno the director of Loco Roco. There are also a lot of screen shots of further levels in the game not playable on the demo. The also made some edits to the review video to show english captions.

For the controls first you've got to push start a bunch of times to begin playing. If you press start while in the play mode a sort of menu screen will appear. Pressing start again will exit you out.

The main controls are the L and R buttons. L tilts the screen to the left so your loco roco roles left and R tilts the screen to the right so your loco roco roles right.

To jump, press both L and R buttons and then release one depending on which way you want the screen to tilt.

When you tap the O button lightening flashes in the background and your loco roco divides into smaller loco rocos depending on how many you have collected. Hold down the O button and your loco rocos rejoin to make a large one.

Thats pretty much it for the controls. Using those movments will get you through the level.

You want to avoid the black spikes, the owl (and whatever he throws), and the black ghosty/squid thing. These will take collected loco rocos away from you. The owl and ghosty/squid thing can be "destroyed" by bouncing into them.

Other than that just collect everything...flowers, fruit, little men waving at you, etc. The red budded flowers that pop up will give you extra loco roco characters. There are 20 in the level to collect.

Once you finish the level a score screen will appear which will tell you how many points you have and how many of what you collected. For example so far I have found and collected 17 of the 20 loco roco. Replay loco roco to try to find all available items.

Also be on the watch out for hidden caves and foundations that break away and lead you to more items.

Well I hope that helps. I'm not much for writting reviews or such. The full game releases in Jap in Dec I believe then probably next year in the states.
