Also I don't agree that it is easier to hear than read. Many times, written or typed words get the message across better than spoken words since there is one dimensional intent instead of vocal inflections that must be decifered in addition to context, syntax and semantics which often distort messages when words are spoken. Also, much is lost in the encoding and decoding process when messages are spoken because of language barriers, environmental distractions (such as noise), facial expressions and other factors. This isn't as prevalent when communication occurs in a non-verbal fashion (such as written communication) since more attention is paid to what is being read because the reader is intent on specifically recieving and decoding a message. I will gladly answer any questions you might have about this. I have a B.A. in Communication, so it will be no problem
