Well, partly because the BIN price is at least 4x what the DS is worth even given the current shortage and also because no one with an IQ above their shoe size would chance giving £1000 to someone on ebay with a feedback of just 8

I would be willing to bet the seller is either monumentally stupid or a scum-bag scammer trying his luck.
