Default 2 Dead Pixels, Your Opinions?

So I purchased a new PSP fresh from the box only about 2 weeks ago. I turned it on one day and already there are two dead pixels, two tiny blue ones in about the center right of the screen.

I've got a few family relatives who enjoy playing it for Lumines so I have no clue if they may have done anything to it, although I made myself very clear that no harm should come to it or their will be consequences (of what I'm not sure  ). I haven't questioned them about this, yet.

Anyways, does anyone know what exactly causes dead pixels? I know dropping it does, but I don't think anyone dropped it. My relatives would have notified me if they did. This might sound silly, but I play a lot of Lumines, and I mean A LOT. I wouldn't think all those bright lights of Lumines going off constantly would hurt the pixels, would it?

Are a couple of dead pixels common among you guy's Sony PSP's? Should I consider returning it or do you think this same thing will happen again? I'm not going to bother returning if it is just going to happen again. What kills me is the pixels weren't dead to begin with. SOMETHING happened to cause this. This kind of thing doesn't just happen on its own.... or does it? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
