i have looked into this. the next firmware os rumored to have some great new functions. a file was accidentaly leaked onto the jap psp site. although it didnt run right, this is what was said to be included, or rumored to have:
A new start menu with 3 mini games (built in) a word proccesor (sounds hard, but read on) and a spread sheet.

PSP Voice chat
Speech to text (you talk, it writes it down)
security updates( whats new)
some new codec support
forgot the rest, cuz i cant find the site i read it on...
