This is my favorite, told to me by my grandfather when I was young.
A Missionary in the Woods
'A missionary was traveling through the woods in search of the nearest town. He came upon a fork in the road and did not know which way would lead him to the town. Standing at the fork were two indians, each from a different tribe in the woods. One indian was of the Truth Tribe and never answered with anything but the truth. The other was from the Lying Tribe and always answered with a lie. Both indians knew which path would lead to the town.
If the missionary could ask only one question that would reveal which way to take the path to the town, what would it be?'
