When you say "Smash and Grab" is that the stage where you have to pick up Vincenzo's friends at the St. Mark's area gas station? if so pick them up and head straight to the "Red Light District" and enter the Paint and Body shop. Having your car re-sprayed when you are being pursuied by Cops helps erase the warrant.
