is you laptop connected to the internet wirelessly or do you plug it into a connection.
if it is wireless then you have a router, so just do a search for the router, if nothing comes up then, go to the router settings and have a look, it might be that you router is set to only allow one connection, ie your laptop.

ya my laptop has a router to connect to. i have tried to connect my psp for days now and it just wont. and my uncle knows my name and password to my router and he wont tell me it because he thinks ill screw it up. so i was just thinking of other ways i can connect.
