The US I have already pre-ordered the PSP (US ver.) from my local gamestore, and the preordered price is S$ 350. The US version is very similar to the Jp version except that the PSP (US) can play US UMD's. In contrast the Jp ver can play JP UMD's.

Well there's also a European version (EU). Well that one can play European UMD's. I think you get the picture right?

The thing is, if you want to play multiplayer or online with import and US PSP's, you can do so. Provided that the GAME is the same version. For example you could have a Jp psp versus a US psp in Ridge Racer (both games MUST be the same lang. version). It would not work if the games differ in terms of lang. ver.
