I adore the UK and am Proud of our heritage BUT after living there for sdo long one get used to it's flaws and it has LOADS. If you visit a nice country you are shocked by hopw clean and polite the general public is.

My experience of the States is limited to a few of them but so far of all the places I have visited I have found BC (British Columbia) to be full of the most friendly, helpful and geniune people about BAR NONE.... and as for the scenery... WOW mountains and snow and lakes and waterfalls and the wildlife... Grizzly and black bear are here living in the woods, coyotes howl at night to serenade one to sleep, Harbour seals frolick in the waters, Orca pods swim the inlets after the Salmon, Golden Eagles soar above your head, Racoons scurry about in the yard.... BUT having said that I still adore the UK and all of it's flaws, and coming from Pompey I do not miss the attitude of the service staff and the brain dead footy fans.

With this large diverse world of ours there are sure to be better places on this planet but I am happy that I have found a little piece of heaven right here In Vancouver (well just North by 45 mins).
