Strange. Are you absolutely sure? I personally know at least ten people who bought UK PSP's and every one of them was on 1.52 with the advice to upgrade to V2.0 with the supplied UMD (which they obviously all ignored). Also, all the official correspondence in the magazines etc. indicated 1.52 to be the universal UK firmware. Even the US release back in March came with 1.5 on them. You're the first person on the net I have read about since the UK release who got a v1.0 machine. the V1.0 firmware machines were only ever released in Japan and even then it was only the first batch. The last new V1.0 machine to be distributed (to my knowledge) was in about January.
