Congrats on getting you PSP! But what possessed you to get XXX?!
Answer 1: Yes, you can use this as an MP3 player, but ONLY MP3 until 2.0 comes out. You hook it up to your computer via USB, go into My Computer, double-click on the new drive, and copy and paste your MP3s into the Music folder.
Answer 2: I would suggest getting a 1gb memory stick. They run from about 100-150, but you can store lots of pictures, music, and movies on it.
Answer 3: Well, I don't know. Do you really want to clip something that you spent over 300 dollars on onto your belt? I would instead suggest getting a bigger battery, a home theater system for the PSP, and a hoodie. Don't run with you dog, and keep on hand in there holding it. Viola.
