Yeah sometimes, newer isnt always better. XP had lots of issues when it was first release and was met with groans. Vista is such a memory hog you need at least 2gb for it to run without burning out your hard drive from swap filing. Even on my Quad Core 3.0 ghz it runs slow. It looks good yeah - but its ****.

So yesterday - funnily enough - I made my XP look exactly like vista (mostly) and any noob would be fooled! Im happy anyway. and im only using 600 mb of ram with a carpload of icons in the tray. Id say get XP because of its reliability and speed on modern machines (i would have shot anybody who said that 3 years ago, lol) and forget about vista. Microsoft are dumpin it anyway. Windows 7 is out in 2 years or so (they say 1 year - HAHAHAHAHA) whatever
